Dr Lukas Bäni (HFSJG) with undergraduate physics majors from The University of Texas at Austin (UT Austin) as part of a course titled “Modern Particle and Nuclear Physics at CERN and Nearby Labs". This group compared the temporal variation of cosmic rays as seen by JUNG1 with data collected by a MiniPIX detector. Dr Bäni took the students for a tour of both neutron monitoring stations at Jungfraujoch and gave a brief talk on his work. Other UT Austin groups collected data to explore the effects of shielding and angular distributions of cosmic rays. Picture: UT Austin
