An international research team – including researchers from the Swiss federal laboratories for materials science and technology (Empa) – have discovered that the amount of individual chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) in the atmosphere increases again. These substances harm the ozone layer and as greenhouse gases are partly responsible for the global warming.
