‘Swiss Youth in Science’ at Jungfraujoch
Every year, the Jungfraujoch Commission (Swiss Commission for the High Altitude Research Station Jungfraujoch, SKHFJ) sponsors a special prize in the national ‘Swiss Youth in Science’ competition (https://sjf.ch/nationaler-wettbewerb/). The prize winners receive a stay at Jungfraujoch including an overnight stay at the research station. On 22/23 May and 25/26 May 2024, two groups of young researchers were given the opportunity to pursue their diverse interests in meteorology, cloud science, atmospheric research, biology, glaciology, history, etc. and to experience the unique mountain and research landscape at Jungfraujoch up close. The fact that the Jungfrau Railways provided the VIP gondola was the icing on the cake for the participants – thank you very much!
