Excursion of the Competition Commission of ‘Swiss Youth in Science’ to the Jungfraujoch
Every year, ‘Swiss Youth in Science’ offers young researchers from secondary or vocational schools the unique opportunity to present their scientific work or their own project to a jury of experts and the general public. A special prize sponsored by the Jungfraujoch Commission (SKHFJ) is also awarded, enabling the winners to visit the research station on the Jungfraujoch together with the president of the SKHFJ and stay there overnight. Members of the Swiss Youth Research competition commission visited the research station on the Jungfraujoch on October 31 for this reason and gained an interesting insight into the ongoing research activities and logistical challenges at this exposed location.
